Length X width X height

When creating custom candle boxes or packaging for our small creative customers, the primary focus is to deliver value to you. Incorporating a corrugated liner within a printed box more than doubles the box's cost because of the material expense and the additional space required during shipping.

For the majority of candles and similarly sized products, a custom-fit box that fits snugly removes the necessity for a corrugated liner.

The first thing to remember is that all measurements are being taken to create the inside dimensions of your box. Not the outside of the box. So I want to know the exact maximum size of your product.

The first measurement is the maximum width of the product, which for a candle with no lid is usually the maximum width of the top of the jar. However it could be the foot on a Danube or Monarch jar with no lid. Sometimes it can be the middle like the Renee jar.

If the candle also has a lid, then you need to be mindful if the lid model is wider than the top of the jar. Sometimes only 1-2 millimetres.

The next measurement is the height. This can be tricky with certain lids, but have a go and send a supplier link at the same time for me to double check.

TIP ... The easiest way is to let me know the supplier, jar model and size, and which lid model you are using along with weblinks. I can double check and see if I have already made for a customer which is very likely, so will already have the box measurements.

For reed diffuser packaging, please let me also know how many reeds you are packing, the reed thickness and the length.

If your box is not for a candle, the first step to creating perfect packaging is to measure the three dimensions for inside your box. Using a ruler, round each result up to the nearest millimeter. Please note : Tape measures can be unreliable as after time the hook becomes loose affecting the measurements.

I will need to know the three dimensions: length, width, and height ( depth ).

For most candle boxes and body products, the length is the front side of the box, the width the side of the box and the height is the depth of the box.

If I have not previously made that specific size box, then I highly recommend ordering a blank size sample. I can produce this for you to double check the product does fit snug and well and I can also include some other finished boxes so you can see and feel the quality of the final product you will receive. If there are samples of any other specific products we make, I can pack those at the same time. There is usually a charge of $33 to cover preparation and shipping of this sample box to you.
